Functional ingredients from agri-food by‑products
Shelf-stable dry powder ingredients produced through proprietary biorefining — polyphenol-rich extracts, carotenoids, biofortified compounds and more.
Science-backed ingredients from the circular bioeconomy
PhytoSource® ingredients are derived from UK-sourced agri-food by-products through our proprietary biorefining process. Each ingredient is produced using techniques such as fermentation, enzymatic extraction, encapsulation, spray drying or freeze-drying to create concentrated, shelf-stable powders rich in bioactive compounds.
Unlike synthetic alternatives, our ingredients retain the full complexity of naturally occurring phytochemicals — polyphenols, carotenoids, vitamins and minerals — in forms optimised for bioaccessibility and incorporation into finished products.
Every PhytoSource® ingredient diverts agricultural waste from landfill or incineration, reducing carbon emissions and supporting the transition to a circular bioeconomy.
