Our Technology

Proprietary biorefinery processes that extract maximum value from agri-food by-products — from enzymatic treatment and mechanical cavitation to fermentation and spray drying.

The Process

From by-product to high-value output

Our integrated biorefinery approach uses a combination of biological and mechanical processes to separate, concentrate and stabilise valuable compounds from agricultural waste streams.

1

Sourcing & Stabilisation

UK-sourced agri-food by-products are collected, stabilised through fermentation or dehydration, and particle-size fractionated for processing.

2

Enzymatic Treatment

Food-grade enzymes break down cell structures to release bioactive compounds, polyphenols, carotenoids and cellulose fibres.

3

Mechanical Cavitation

Our proprietary cavitation process fibrillates cellulose, enhances extraction yields and produces highly refined materials compatible with industrial processes.

4

Separation & Concentration

Target compounds are separated using green solvents and filtration, then concentrated for maximum potency.

5

Drying & Encapsulation

Spray drying produces shelf-stable powders. Optional encapsulation masks off-flavours and improves bioaccessibility.

Facilities

Access to a range of analytical and processing equipment, as well as kitchen facilities

Analytical equipment: Benchtop analytical instruments for characterisation of raw materials, extracts and finished products.

Processing: Spray dryer for powder production, fermentation equipment, mechanical processing and sample preparation facilities.
