Brew-Up will explore the feasibility of integrated biorefinery approach to brewers' spent grain (BSG). Working with Newcastle University, the potential to separate the UK's 500,000+ tonnes of annual BSG into protein concentrate, fibre and lignin, each with distinct commercial applications, will be explored.
